Telugu Association of North America to Set up TANA Bhavan in Washington, D.C.

TANA or Telugu Association of North America, the oldest and the biggest Indo-American organization in North America is planning to construct TANA Bhavan in Washington, D.C. with a project cost of around Rs 35crore.

The building is the first of its kind by any ethnic group in the United States. 

“We will be ready with its final plans by July this year, by the time of22nd TANA National Conference,” announced Satish Vemana, TANA President.

Talking to media along with Prasad Garapati and CV Subba Row, both Indian Coordinators, Satish said the organization is likely to hold 20,000 sq ft area.

TANA, which has 40,000-lifetime members, in its forty years of existence has done service activities to the extent of Rs 700 crore.

The forthcoming TANA National Conference will be a grand affair as it is being held from July 4 to 6 for three days in Washington D.C,. The once in two years Meet is expected to attract 22000 visitors.

“We have already extended an invitation to President of USA Mr. Trump and the same is under consideration,” said Satish.

Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu has consented to be the Chief Guest. According to an estimation, around ten lakh Telugu people live in the U.S.

Popular Music director Keeravani is at the event with his troupe of musicians and singers. Besides, several popular film directors and actors are expected to attend the event.

TANA Conference is giving opportunities to several Business houses and Corporate houses to associate with TANA Conference as Exhibitors and Sponsors and reach 15000 potential Telugu people.
