D.C Airports implemented new TSA security measures

The TSA is implementing a new screening protocol for electronics at Washington, D.C. They are implementing these measures in order to mitigate terror threats.

This new protocol was announced early this year. This protocol will require electronics larger than cell phones to be separated into a bin for X-ray screening. Those large electronics include laptops, tablets, e-readers and cameras.

According to the statement released by the TSA, removing these electronic devices will help in de-cluttering and it will make x-ray screening easier. This protocol will not apply to passengers with TSA pre-check approval.

Passengers are expected to see these changes in coming months. TSA also warned passengers that there may be more bag checks so please check the items that will set-off the alarm.
